In this profession, my clients share deeply personal information and private thoughts about their insecurities, goals, fears, and dreams. Our success relies on a very open and honest line of communication—I'm always grateful for the trust and confidence people so willingly extend to me.
Once our partnership begins, the focus is entirely on you and your objectives. So, at this stage, I want to personally introduce myself and let you know a little about me, and the journey that brought me here:
A. I get asked that question often. I think, in general, I adapt easily, which has been an asset in this fast-paced world we live in.
Although I don't consciously make the decision, when I reflect, I notice I always believe I'm going to do well and succeed. Failing, or even mediocrity, never enters my mind.
When I first became an entrepreneur, it was a lot of hard work and persistence—I think a big part of why I stuck with it during those first few challenging years was the "fit". It always felt like I was meant to do this, even in the face of obstacles, I never stopped believing that.
I was just telling someone the other day that coaching is such a big part of who I am. Although I've expanded my focus and services, I know I'll always "coach" in some form. I feel incredibly fortunate to do this type of work.
A. It's interesting, the question I hear over and over is: "how do I figure out what I'm meant to do in life?" The answer, or the absence of it, seems to plague so many.
I believe your unique contribution—the difference you were born to make—can be found by looking through the eyes of a child. Your childhood interests—the "signs" are always there. At this young stage of life we haven't had much, if any, exposure to misguided intentions and the influence of others. We haven't been introduced to peer pressure, hormones, our pride, or the strong desire to impress. Our childhood is when we're in our "purest form".
For me...
So, yes, I'm grateful to say (in a long-winded fashion) I believe I've found my true calling.
A. The unconditional love I have for my son, Colton. I had never known anything like it—it's the kind you'd give your life for without hesitation. He's the one and only thing in life that makes me completely vulnerable and that alone has changed me.
A. There are so many things I enjoy. Some of my top choices would be:
I will stop there or this could become a book.
A. I'd wish that all children were safe, and living in a loving family.
